Let the game begin! PLEASE for the love of god, 6pm Sunday can't get here soon enough for me. Its been a great week here covering the Patriots. The pursuit of perfection will finally be over one way or the other on Sunday. Talking about it is making me sick, and the rhetoric people come out with is laughable. The Giants talk, while the Pats walk!
Wait, listen. Whats that noise? Why my eyes decieve me, its Jim Calhoun and the UConn Huskies, making noise again in college roundball! Just to prove to the rest of the country that UConn has been blessed like no other program. No other institution has the quality coaching that UConn has on the hard court. Jim Calhoun and Geno Auriemma consistently prove that they are the best coaches in the game. The mens team has alot of turmoil with circus shots (like the Georgetown game), suspensions, and eager campus police, but JC and the boys just move on and pick up huge wins and are on a good streak now. Will it continue? I think it gets tougher everyday without Doug Wiggins and Jerome Dyson back in the lineup but one good bit of news I've received is that both players participated in practice yesterday!
The women's team loses two starters from their lineup and it doesn't faze them a bit. Best wishes to Kalana and Mel and I hope to see them both at the BE Tournament in March!
14 days till Ft. Myers! I can't wait for baseball (Red Sox) to start. People are bummed out about losing the Santana sweepstakes to the Mets, but NOT ME! The best part about not having Santana, is we still have Jacoby and Jon and the Yankees don't have Santana.
The Bruins and my Caps are in the thick of the playoff race in the NHL. The Caps have the luxury of playing in just a pitiful division which means that this young team if it stays hot, can actually win the South LEAST division and land in the #3 hole in the playoff pairings.
The Nationals were stung by the Santana to the Mets trade, but they are yards away from being any good anyway.
