Remember when the ACC was the strongest basketball conference? Take another look, top to bottom the Big East is the much better conference half way through this year, and all of last year.

The UConn Huskies are back and better than ever. Its been a weird week of upset victories and a return to the NATIONAL ranking. Today UConn is going for their seventh victory in a row at the Gampel Pavilion against Georgia Tech.

Hasheem Thabeet, A.J. Price and Jeff Adrien have been putting the Huskies on their back. Georgia Tech with a record of 11-10, but most of those losses were close games, and they are not a team to be taken lightly. Tech ran over the Huskies at the Georgia Dome last year.

Jerome Dyson remains suspended. He can has been removed from the team locker room, but can use the facilities on his own. He is not practicing with his teammates, likely until March 1st at the earliest. Coach Jim Calhoun wants Doug Wiggins to come out strong against GA Tech. Doug was shut down in six minutes of playing time earlier this week in the Dome at Syracuse.
Go Huskies!

They're BACK!!!!

Great win by the UConn men on the road @ The Cuse last night. The team continues to win (5 straight) despite losing suspended starter Jerome Dyson. Coach Jim Calhoun's wry smile and "I love my team!" from the podium last night said it all.

Pats fans have to laugh off the media onslaught and bandwagoners a little longer. Since losing the Super Bowl on Sunday to the New York Giants, the media (New York) has been in full force. If the Pats had lost to a smaller market, the game would be forgotten by now. Grin and bear it fans, just remember, at the end of the day, they have to live in New York!

New Pups in Husky Nation

Head football coach Randy Edsal has received 22 Letters of Intent to form this years recruiting class for the Big East Conference Co-Champions! The list is impressive and this group will add talent, and work ethic to this program.

Watch out world, the men's basketball team is ranked again. This week going in at #19 in the country. The coaching job by Hall of Famer Jim Calhoun has been remarkable again.

Congratulations to the New York Football Giants and the Mara family.

The Patriots left it all out on the field and went down like true champions. They have credited the G-men to a man and have been very classy in defeat.

The cry that Tom Brady choked is ridiculous and if its in people's thinking they are forgetting the drive TB directed to get his team ahead. The bottom line on the game is David Tyree who hadn't caught a cold during the post season. His catch on that 3rd and 5 was the ballgame.

Very proud of 18-1!

10 days till pitchers and catchers.....GO SOX!

Thats IT! Now, we're pissed!

You know what Sen. Specter did yesterday? He just gave motivation (if any more was needed) to the soon to be World Champion New England Patriots!

Spygate if BACK folks......

The Patriots have every reason they needed to bury the G-men from New York and flip the NFL, Congress and the rest off the world off! I LOVE IT! The world just made Bill Belichick's job easier. The world hates Coach BB because he doesn't care what anybody says about him. Is that cocky? You bet it is, and its just great for me and the rest of Patriots Nation!

The Patriots got caught breaking the rules, no question. The 2007 Patriots were driven by idiots like Anthony Smith, Igor Olshansky, and Plaxico Burress. The cries ranged from tainted Super Bowl victories (3 of them), to the NFL officials were working FOR the Patriots.

The new motivation comes from the State of Eagle-mania in PA. Its nothing more than a waste of taxpeyer money while we have sons, daughters, and spouses fighting for our freedom and their own lives overseas.

Spygate was a non-issue all week until two days before the Patriots go for immortality.

Specter's motives are suspect and the timing is curious.

I'm already looking forward to the trophy presentation when the Commish has to hand the trophy over to the team that he accused of cheating. 19-0! F-YOU world!

Weekend Rambling

Will the Giants be able to stop the Patriots passing game?
Even the game these two teams played against each other in December was a 38-35 game. Now, tomorrow's game is in a controlled climate environment. The Pats passing game should be too much for the G-men.

Bruins 4-1 and Favorite Athletes

Bruins took out the Senators last night on the road. Good win, but they didn't particularly impress with their play. The team still misses Bergeron and Murray but got back P.J. last night. It was great to see him out there, but you could tell the timing was off after the long layoff.

Do you have favorite athletes/coaches that you respect/like/follow no matter what team they are on.? Here's mine:

Football
Tedy Bruschi
Phil Simms
Charlie Weiss
Bill Belichick

Basketball
